Nicole Betschman, DHed (ABD), MA, CHES, faculty in Excelsior’s School of Health Sciences, was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 honorees for the class of 2016 at East Carolina University. This award was created in an effort to recognize emerging leaders that received their start at East Carolina University, as well as those who have used their ECU experience to make an impact in their respective professions, local communities and on the world.
Betschman is a SME for a major revision of Excelsior’s HSC 413 Principles of Teaching and Learning and is also a new faculty for the same course.
At East Carolina University, she started Colleges Against Cancer and Relay For Life in which over $60,000 was raised in its first year with only a goal of $40,000. She was also Greenville’s Top 30 Under 30 and was very active with the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) by serving as the president and vice president in the local chapter. She was also voted Business Woman of the Year by the Pirate Charter Chapter of ABWA.
