Darhon Rees-Rohrbacher, DMus, MSN, RN, has joined Excelsior College as a faculty program director for the Associate Degree in nursing program.
She comes to Excelsior College with considerable teaching experience at the associate-degree level, having been an instructor at Bryant & Stratton College, Capital Region BOCES, Mildred Elley, and Hudson Valley Community College. In addition to being a registered nurse, she is also a certified medical biller. Prior to becoming a nurse, she had worked as a medical transcriptionist for 10 years. She is a graduate of Excelsior College, having completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2010.
A former music teacher, she is classically trained pianist, harpist and vocalist. In addition to her performing skills, she is a well-known composer of harp music through her company, Dragonflower Music. and her harp publications are sold internationally. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but has lived in Upstate New York since 1978 and in the Capital District since 1998. She is married and has 5 pet parrots.
