Democratic Engagement Dialogue Session, November 19

In the aftermath of the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, the Center for Social Justice, Fielding Graduate University, the Democratic Engagement Dialogue Series, and the Democratic Engagement Rope Team invite you to a dialogue about how we can envision our shared future in our democracy and in the global community on Thursday, November 19 from 3–4:30 p.m. ET. At a time of constant change and division in our contested public sphere, we will ask questions such as:

  • What can we do as citizens to create space for political conversations that are nonpartisan yet substantive?
  • How can we bring people together to solve concrete problems across our different communities?
  • How can we build bridges with those with whom we disagree?
  • How can we work toward healing as a society?
  • How can we think globally when local problems feel overwhelming?

These and related questions will guide a semi-structured conversation in the World Café format: participants move through a series of small-group breakout conversations, then come together to share insights with the whole group. All perspectives are welcome. We ask only that participants come ready to listen with curiosity and speak with respect.

This virtual session is open to all. Register here to participate: https://communities.excelsior.edu/events/2026/11/19/lift-every-voice-after-the-midterms-envisioning-our-shared-future-democratic-engagement-dialogue-series/
