Expanded Free CAEL Membership Access for Excelsior University

We’re excited to share an important opportunity for the Excelsior University community. Excelsior University now has expanded free access to CAEL memberships through our institutional plan—making it easier for more faculty and staff to get involved.

What is CAEL?
The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) is a national nonprofit organization focused on advancing adult learner success, credit for prior learning, and workforce-connected education pathways. It brings together higher education institutions, employers, and workforce leaders to advance practices and innovation in learner mobility.

This opportunity is strengthened by Amy Pietrewicz’s role as Co-Chair of the Credit Mobility Community of Practice, helping elevate Excelsior’s leadership in this space. We are also fortunate to have Earl Buford, the president of CAEL, as a member of our board of trustees.

What are the benefits?

  • Professional development through webinars, courses, and workshops
  • National networking and communities of practice
  • Access to research, tools, and best practices
  • Strategic insights on adult learner and workforce trends
  • Discounts on events and training

What this means for you

  • Increase your knowledge, competency, and awareness of institutional practices
  • Expand your professional network
  • Access tools to support adult learners
  • Contribute to credit mobility and CPL innovation
