For any faculty or staff who have interruptions in power or Wi-Fi service, those serving as first responders, or those who need to attend to personal or family matters, we support you. If a course needs coverage or students need to be contacted in your absence, please reach out to your department chair for assistance.
Some of our students may be affected by this situation. Please review the Excelsior Assistance to Students in Disaster and Emergency Areas policy for guidance.
This policy states that Excelsior will grant extensions to students who reside in a disaster area. Keep in mind that our students in disaster areas may be without power and unable to participate in their courses. Students located in affected areas and those serving as first responders may need additional time to complete their assignments. Please use your best judgment to provide extensions to students and remove late penalties as needed.
